Well, we finally did it.
Ran this thing into the ground.
I never really believed the day would come,
thought we'd always have our
trusty Odyssey,
but one day it just
'gave up the ghost'.
Transmission 'bit the dust'.
"Where are you taking my car?!?!??"
Hey you.....
Driving off into the sunset......
(Gee, how many cliche's can I cram into one tiny post?)
It was an oddly sad thing watching our family car leave like this.
We got it when we lived in Texas
and it was actually a 'surprise' trade with some friends of ours.
Our broken down Jeep Cherokee was in the shop again and the prognosis was not good.
A friend of ours approached us with the possibility of trading him our Jeep for a
'different car',
but wouldn't say which one or what kind.
Imagine our surprise when this beaut rolled into our driveway.
An incredible blessing at such a hard time.
This car drove us to the births of two he-munchkins.
Drove us all the way to Maine
and has been our
trusty transportation
to and from school and church and all around town.
You just never think there is going to be a day when your car won't start....
until it doesn't!
Bye-bye Odyssey.
Such a blessing to our family that we will never forget.
