Family Reunion (part 2) ~Grandpa Norton

We flew into Utah a few days early to spend some time with
Grandpa Norton

The last time he saw the kids,
Logan was
five months old.
He had never met any of the boys!
We were long over due for a visit.

Grandpa and his
golf cart!

Ryan remembered it from our last visit when she was
barely 3 1/2!

The famous
birdhouse tree!

Grandpa Norton is famous for this tree.
He's been in the local newspaper
and people are always stopping to
take pictures of it.
He has even had strangers bring him bird houses to
hang in the tree.
Really cool!

Popsicles with cousin Daylin

Sai cozied right up to Grandpa.
The popsicle may or may not have had something to do with it.

Chatting with
Uncle CJ.
The girls always had so much to tell him
and he was such a
good (and patient) listener.
Foxy just liked being around him.

Talked Grandpa into
another ride.

A visit to the
playground.
Sai leading the way.

We thought it would be funny to
hang the kids.....
Cute photo op in my head,
panicked, scared nuggets in real life.
Still funny.

The Norton men.

Going for
  photo op #2.
Nearly impossible getting all of them to
look and smile
at the same time.
Almost....

Ryan and Daylin.

Daylin and Bubba.
Watching these guys play together you never would've known
it was their first time meeting!
Daylin was a trooper!

The Nuggets can be
"a lot"
when it's all five at once!

One of Grandpa's
ponds.
It was unseasonably warm,
but Sai is without pants because he
found a way to climb into this particular pond
and was dead set on
doing it again!

Fox collecting
rocks
to throw into the pond.

Practicing....
Grandpa lives on a golf course and
doesn't have neighbors across the street.

Chris took the kids across the street to
practice.

Bubs just wanted to ride all day.
Grandpa even let him drive.
That smile says it all....

The last day we came to visit
Grandpa surprised Ryan with a
birthday cake.
He wanted to help her
celebrate
even though her birthday was a few days away.

Hanging out in the
'man cave'.
I wish I would've gotten better pictures of Grandpa's
garage/man cave.
He had a tv set up, couple couches, space heater,
fridge and a
freezer full of popsicles!
Perfect!

It was great to visit,
introduce 3 new nuggets to
  Grandpa Norton,
celebrate Ryan's birthday and
get to know
 CJ and cousin Daylin.

The kids still talk about their visit.
We just need to make sure the next one isn't to far away!
