We celebrated the 4th in typical Texas fashion.....
and it was a blast!
The three cutest kids
in this
'neck of the woods'!
They have no idea what this day has in store for them....
but, boy, are they excited!
First stop.
Scout Pancake Breakfast.
Yum.
???????
It's early.
I'm already dressed.
No breakfast.....yet.
What's going on?????
??????
The traditional "flag" tootsies!
Been painting these things on Ryan for 4 years!
She loves 'em!
Second stop.
King's house.
Swimming, bbq, swimming, fun, swimming.
We're at the Kings at least once a week!
More if there's a good brisket to be smoked!
It made for such a great day!
Mike showed Chris a thing or two on the barby,
and Tammy and I swam to our hearts content....
while the kids napped!
Then stuffed ourselves silly!
On at least three different occasions
throughout the day!

We had these kids all tuckered out!

I love this shot of Bubba still trying to get to that water!
He's become quite the little fish!
Then there's lil Logi in her usual 'get up'.....
mis-matched frog 'bloaties'
and
her flower 'ring'.
All she needs to twirl herself around any pool!

Fireworks!!

The girls made themselves comfy on Tracy's lap!
Incredible 4th of July!!
Made all the better with great friends and yummy food!
I was stuffed for a week!
Celebration at Texas Old Town.
and, apparently listening rather intently to what has to be said.
Bubs is taking it all in!
Barton Springs is one of 4 natural springs in downtown Austin.
The biggest one feeds into what is known as Barton Springs.
It makes for some cold swimming....
65 degrees year round
but on a day when the temps were reaching 105...
we didn't mind in the least!
It was amazing!
There is a small train that takes you around
There is a small train that takes you around
Zilker Park
(where Barton Springs is located)
Of course we had to go.
It was hot!
Ryan had been waiting a long time for this train ride.
The pool.
Cold. Cold. Cold.
The bottom is slippery, slimy rock!
Made walking around with these three a little interesting.
What a cute 'lil bunch!
(If I do say so myself)
It took him longer than the rest to get used to the temp!
Logi refusing to take off the 'bloaties'.
This picture was taken by accident.....
but it's hilarious!
The kids had all gone to the top of the hill
to try to run back down.
I wanted to snap a picture and wasn't paying attention.
This is what I found later on.
Three lil 'cotton-tops' peeking over the edge!
Three lil 'cotton-tops' peeking over the edge!
It was a steep hill!
When Chris saw them charging
he jumped up and had to intercept.
Some of them had picked up a good amount of speed.
You could tell by the looks in their eyes.....
they were scared!!
Eyes bulging,
cheeks bouncing,
choppy little high step
(as an attempt to slow down.)
Too funny!
Stroller loaded.
Kids pooped.
Daddy is beat.
Can't wait to go back!
Had to stop and enjoy some
snow cones!!!
